The challenge set was to launch a service that delivers financial wellness for the persona below.

Considering a range of user needs, we settled on three hypotheses to investigate, looking at sustainability needs, broader budgeting needs and technology needs.

Project Goals

Investing can be a trial and error game for less experienced investors. Nuri pots product aimed to eliminate the uncertainty out of the investment process and let users make decisions set for success.

The main challenge we had to face was bringing immense functionality of the product into a small scale of a mobile screen, ensuring the interface was very easy to understand and use.

We believe our users need a way to incorporate environmental, social or ethical concerns into their finances.

We believe our users are not managing their money as well as they would like.

We believe technology can help our users manage their finances in a meaningful way.

Surveys

We received over 1000 responses from a survey we sent to existing Nuri users. The feedback greatly helped us gain a comprehensive understanding and confidence to move forward.

What we learnt

53% of the users were aware of what investing was.

41% of the users Investing their money regularly on a existing platform.

89% of the users would invest if they had more digestible knowledge.

Qualitative Research

In my qualitative analysis, we interviewed 38  individuals to gain a deeper understanding of the challenges they encounter while attempting to use an Investing platform as well as the reasons holding them back from Investing.

Keep the user interface clean and simple. Avoid unnecessary jargon and complex charts.
